I never liked the 612. It seemed like the soft, non-Ferrari version of the 599. What do you think?

Rusto's dad has one, and Rusto drives it sometimes. He'd be the perfect person to tell you how it is.

Aluminum body/space frame
manual transmission
V12 rocket engine with over 500hp
room for 4 adults
I love the damn thing.

I think it's meant to be a completely different kind of car than the 599. It's Ferrari's DB9, or almost even CL Class/Continental GT. I didn't like it at first either but it's grown on me.

I used to feel the same way, but it's googley eye headlights have grown on me. The best angle is from behind. It's more of a gentleman's Ferrari, like the 456 and the 550.

Also cool - not as hard to maintain as you'd expect. There is some work you can do without taking the whole engine out. There is a cross member under the engine that comes out. This lets you do some of the maintenance without yanking the engine out if you have a lift.

I love it. I also love the 456 that preceded it. I'm a big fan of the GT cars in general. There's something about the four-seater Ferraris that I just like. There wasn't a whole lot of competition in that class. Pretty much the DB9 and the CL65 AMG.

In the scope of 2+2 Ferraris, it's great. But for me, it was a step back from the impossibly pretty 456GT it replaced.

The coolest thing about the 4 Seat Ferraris is that they depreciate harder than the 2 seat Ferraris. So they're always the best used purchase deals!
